FOURTH YEAR (ODD SEMESTER)

CO1 Retrieve all codes related to structural design studied in previous semesters and learn about new codes viz. IS 800,IS 456,IS 875, sp7,sp6,sp38,sp16,sp34. they will also learn about new codes meant for high rise buildings, drafted by council on tall buildings and urban habitat

CO2 Determine structural systems compatible with architectural design and other engineering disciplines.

CO3 Identify structural loadings and other structural design criteria for vertical structural system

CO4 Understand and comprehend new age high strength materials, composite materials, structural design for high rise buildings, different types of structural systems for large spans like space frames, shells, tensile structures, etc,

CO5 Understand and discuss different systems of load transmission in high rise buildings, structural systems for plan and elevation for earthquake resistant structural design, and designs of structural system for redirection of wind forces.
